O.A.C. Bldg. tekmar

The old Tekmar steam control had its cover broken by an unhappy tenant who really wanted to get at the control dials. The control never functioned well because the installer put the sensor that starts the timing sequence on the return pipe back at the boiler area. They set it to 130 degrees. The boiler would just run and run for hours because the sensor would never heat up at that location. We moved the sensor to a more appropriate place and it now performs its job well. We didn't want to allow anyone access to the control, so we installed it in a steel lock box. Indoor sensors were added at four locations throughout the building to provide feedback to the control. Without them the control really has no way of knowing what the inside temperature is.
